Who is Velvet?
Velvet is commonly a reindeer character that works for/with CaffeinatedCultist as the primary coordinator.
Caffeinated Coordinator? It’s the only way I am able to summarize my title or what I do, in a single word. I am responsible for upholding a routine, organizing, and the performing the following tasks:
- Writing: drafting, profile info, descriptions, this website, tags, channel updates, ads, posts, etc.
- Brainstorming: general art ideas, platform ideas, audience interactions, events, and collaborations!
- Service: General customer service and support. Managing orders, feedback, etc.
- Back-end: Server/site maintenance, organizing data, managing multiple platforms, brainstorming, drafting, and testing.
- Support: I try to provide the best support I can, for all, CC, and of course myself. This of course is not an exhaustive list. I am one person. So I do burnout every so often and need to recover. I am always trying to figure out different ways to handle things efficiently without automation tools like PostyBirb.
Manual Labor That’s right. Eveything you see is typed out by hand over and over again. Exhausting right? While I do build my own templates which have two different frameworks.
A copy/paste template with common inserts like: tags, credit links, markdown formatting, etc. A framework which acts as a base reminder how each platform or site works. For example if a platform supports markdown or not. What tags are required or if hashtags are spesific. That’s it. Nothing too spectacular.
Helpful Tools I have found various tools helpful for different purposes.
Writing, notes, reminders, templates: TiddlyWiki, Logseq, Obsidian,
Back-end collaboration, orders, and infrastructure: Git. Gitlab, Codeberg, Forgejo, Gitea, etc.
For hire / Consulting My services are not for hire at this time. Consulting however is pretty open. I am often very happy to share my workflow with others as I have a passion for encouraging anyone to take a few extra minutes to do things by hand, rather than relying on automation. Anything that requires a little more training I would advise you to please buy me a coffee to pay for my time. Especially if you’ve found anything I’ve said useful. It means a lot!
Also just because I do not use automation tools does not make automation bad, or anything like that. This is purely my own personal preference and opinion. If you use automation and it works for you, great!
That’s all for now! That wraps up this page. Thank you for taking the time to read! I really appreciate it! I hope you have a lovely rest of your day or night. Stay hydrated everyone!
