# 2026-02-19 A new direction to convert this page into pure HTML. Following the rules of "no css club", "no js club", and "1mb club" respectively. I have some doubts I'll be able to keep it under 1mb but I sure as heck can try! My goal now is to keep track of only 2 sections in the main page; Journal and Now. Seems simple enough. Now should keep a consistent layout that focuses on what's going on now in my life, and share projects I am working on, or interesting finds. This not only helps me keep track of this out in the open, but makes it a lot easier to share with friends, or anyone curious about what I'm up to. Since I don't prefer things like Bluesky or anything like that. This is good enough for my needs. Next up is Journal. I plan on sticking with the layout I have now, but I can see a future problem stuffing far too much text (even in a collapse menu) where this would be rather troublesome to edit, or work with in general. So I may tweak this to be simple plaintext files (if I did this correctly, then you're already reading this as a plaintext file!) which will be far easier to manage, write, and I can still add any relevent links I need when I need them. Is this going to be pretty and easy for all to read? Depends on who you ask. I know CSS can makes things far more accessible, but for now. This is the direction I want to go. Not like you can't copy/paste the entry into your own editor of choice and scale up the text, use your own fonts, or have a screen reader, use text to speak to help if that's something you need. Plaintext can be accessible too! If I manage to keep up the motivation, I may mirror this site with CSS for ease of use. Otherwise this one here will remain vanilla html. --- # Mentioned https://nocss.club/ https://no-js.club/ https://1mb.club/ ## Previous Tools I've used: https://www.pandoc.org/ https://prettier.io/ https://github.com/jackyzha0/quartz https://gohugo.io/ https://tiddlywiki.com/ https://github.com/sharadcodes/my_py_site https://www.mkdocs.org/ https://grow.io/ https://github.com/braceio/tags https://github.com/fossworx-labs/fossfolio https://github.com/sethcottle/littlelink https://hg.sr.ht/~obensonne/poole https://selfduggrave.neocities.org/ https://github.com/sunainapai/makesite https://feather.wiki/ https://github.com/srid/emanote https://github.com/logseq/logseq https://www.brailleinstitute.org/freefont/ https://github.com/iaolo/iA-Fonts ## license https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/deed.en
